Cover Supervisor

Are you confident, organised, and looking to take the next step in your career as a Cover Supervisor? Tradewind Recruitment are working with schools in Hull and the East Riding that are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them on a temporary, ad-hoc basis for September 2025. Payment will between £100 and £120 per day.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people, who is looking to build a career in education or experience new schools and ad some flexibility to their work schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising whole classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students stay on task,
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, employing effective classroom control strategies
• Delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring learning continues smoothly, adapting as needed for the students in the class
• Providing feedback to teachers and school leaders on student progress and conduct
• Supporting students across a range of year groups and subjects

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
• A confident and professional approach to classroom management
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, positive, and patient attitude, particularly when working with students with complex needs
• A strong interest in education and a passion for supporting the holistic development of students
