Cover Supervisor

Tradewind Recruitment's southwest London Secondary Team are looking for dedicated Cover Supervisors to work with a range of diverse Secondary Schools in Sutton starting in September 2025. This is an opportunity to develop and hone your behaviour management skills and subject knowledge whilst helping provide secondary pupils to engage and participate in lessons.

This role is perfect for anyone aspiring to build a career in education and seeking to gain hands-on experience. You can earn between £100-£130 PAYE per day and will also be supported by a consultant at Tradewind who is an ex Teacher and is dedicated to helping you enjoy and succeed at working in Secondary Schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage classrooms in the absence of teachers, ensuring a productive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects.
• Maintain student engagement and discipline, promoting positive behaviour.
• Support students in their learning and development, preparing them for academic success.

What Tradewind are Looking For:

• A minimum 2:1 degree from a top UK university, preferably in a core subject (e.g., English, Maths, Science).
• Strong classroom presence and excellent communication abilities.
• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
• A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students' lives.
