Tradewind seeks a number of motivated educators in the position of Cover Supervisor, to join a variety of secondary schools across Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, including mainstream, alternative provisions, and SEN specialist schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for education and working with young people, offering flexibility to suit your experience and preferences!

• Experienced Cover Supervisor looking for their next role
• Graduates with a relevant degree and a desire to work in education
• Teaching Assistants or professionals with transferable skills who are keen to step into a leading role in the classroom
• QTS teachers or those with teaching-specific qualifications are prioritised
• Individuals with experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects
• Ensure effective classroom management, maintaining a positive learning environment
• Support student's learning, adapting activities and providing additional help to students of different abilities
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour, and engagement
• Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, respectful environment
• Work flexibly, covering a range of subjects and age groups as needed

• Confidence in leading a classroom and managing student behaviour
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to adapt quickly to different environments and settings
• A genuine passion for supporting student's learning and well-being
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
• Based in, or reliably commutable to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
