Location: Sunderland
Contract: Long-term temporary (with scope to become permanent)

Start date: October Half Term
Daily rate: £95-£115 p/day

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education journey? Veritas Education is proud to partner with a network of vibrant, inclusive secondary schools serving the local community of Sunderland. We are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to join the team on a long-term basis, with the potential for a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pupils during lessons, ensuring set work is completed and behaviour expectations are upheld.
• Register attendance and manage classroom routines effectively.
• Collect and return completed work to teachers, providing feedback where appropriate.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting inclusion, respect, and responsibility.
• Support the wider school community by covering form time, seclusion, and duties as needed.
• Work closely with the Cover Manager to organise staff absence cover and liaise with supply agencies.
• Assist with administrative tasks, exam invigilation, and whole-school activities.

About You:

• Confident in managing classroom behaviour and engaging with young people.
• Able to follow lesson plans and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting the school's inclusive ethos.
• Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
