We have an exciting opportunity within a Prison Service for two experienced mental health nurses - offering strong rates, consistent hours, and the chance to make a real impact in a secure setting.

• Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse - Band 6

• Location: Stoke-on-Trent area

• Duration: 3-month ongoing contract

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Start Date: ASAP

• Rate of Pay: £25.50 - £26.50 per hour

Join the healthcare team within a secure prison environment, delivering essential mental health care to adult male offenders. Your key responsibilities include:

• Conducting mental health assessments and reviews

• Delivering therapeutic interventions and managing caseloads

• Supporting crisis care, medication administration, and safeguarding procedures

• Liaising with prison officers, GPs, MDTs, and external agencies

• Maintaining clinical records in line with service standards

• Supporting service users with complex mental health needs in a high-risk setting

This is an excellent opportunity for RMNs with prison clearance looking for a consistent, full-time contract in a structured environment.

• Valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse

• Essential: Active prison clearance and previous experience in prison settings

• Confidence managing risk and working within secure facilities

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Full UK driver's licence required

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The contract is 3 months ongoing, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
