Temporary Credit Controller

• Contract: Temporary (3–6 months)
• Location: Basingstoke
• Salary: £13–£16 per hour (depending on experience)
• Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Credit Controller to join our clients finance team in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for numbers to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Chasing outstanding payments via phone, email, and letter.
• Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts.
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries.
• Monitoring aged debt and escalating issues where necessary.
• Producing regular reports for management.
• Supporting the wider finance team as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
