Job Description - Criminal Litigation Solicitor

Service care solutions are currently working alongside a familiar local authority, based in Greater Manchester, which is seeking an Criminal Litigation Solicitor to join their team.

This role pays a competitive rate of:

PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £35.69 - £44.48 per hour
Umbrella - £40-£50 per hour

This role is on a 3-month contract with potential to extend

Responsibilities as a Criminal Litigation Solicitor:

Manage a diverse caseload of criminal matters including theft, assault, drug offences, fraud, and public order offences.
Represent clients during police station interviews (with out-of-hours availability, if required).
Prepare and advocate cases in Magistrates’ Courts; instruct counsel for Crown Court trials.
Draft legal documents, case summaries, and instructions to counsel.
Advise clients on the strength of evidence and appropriate pleas.

About you as a Criminal Litigation Solicitor :

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (preferred for travel to courts/police stations).
Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a valid Practising Certificate.
