About the role
As a Customer Experience Assistant, you play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests throughout their journey with DFDS. You are a visible and approachable ambassador for excellent service, ensuring our customers feel valued and well cared for. Working closely with teams onboard and ashore, your role involves supporting customer initiatives, managing on-the-ground activities, and actively seeking ways to enhance every touchpoint of the customer journey — from port arrival to post-travel feedback. This role will be offered as Fixed Term contract from June - September. working between the hours of Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00.

You’re energetic, customer-focused, and passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for every guest. A confident and natural communicator, you're at ease engaging with families, children, and customers from all walks of life. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are always ready to roll up your sleeves—whether it’s supporting events, solving problems on the spot, or stepping in at different locations when needed.
Organisation and attention to detail come naturally to you, and you’re comfortable balancing schedules, admin tasks, and logistics without losing sight of the bigger picture. You're a true team player who enjoys collaborating across departments, both onboard and ashore, and you stay calm and collected even during the busiest travel periods.
Creative and enthusiastic, you bring fresh ideas to the table—especially when it comes to engaging our junior guests and enhancing themed activities. You’re also confident using digital tools to support communication, gather feedback, and share internal updates that keep everyone informed and inspired.
