Job Description - Data Architect

Job Title: Data Architect
Location: Nettleham Fire and Police HQ, Lincolnshire
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)
Start Date: 5th January 2025
End Date: 10th January 2026
Working Pattern:

Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30
Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
Pay Rate:
£29.06 per hour PAYE
£38.96 per hour Umbrella

Service Care Solutions is proud to be supporting Lincolnshire Police in their search for a highly experienced Data Architect to join their Digital and Data Solutions Directorate. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in modernising and shaping the Force's data landscape to support strategic and operational policing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of the Force’s overall data architecture.
Provide subject matter expertise to both internal departments and partner organisations.
Support intelligence, research, investigations, and decision-making through effective data structuring.
Guide and mentor a team including Data Engineers, BI Developers, Dashboard Designers, and more.
Align architectural design with national and regional data strategies.
Promote data governance, compliance, and quality across the Force.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar, with hands-on cloud platform experience (e.g. Azure, AWS).
Skilled in SQL, data modelling, ETL tools, and data visualisation platforms such as PowerBI or Qlik.
Strong analytical, leadership, and project management capabilities.
Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR).
Full UK Driving Licence and ability to obtain security clearance.

Desirable:

Previous experience in public sector or police data environments.
Certification in data architecture or related domains.
