I am currently looking for a Data Governance Manager to contribute to the development and embodiment of effective data governance, data quality, data protection and data privacy strategies throughout the organisation. You will be regularly engaging with senior leaders such as the Chief Data Officer and will have the opportunity to influence key decisions around data management.

Data Governance Manager - What will you be doing?

* Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of robust data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
* Collaborating closely with support and operational teams to identify areas for improvement in data management processes, driving initiatives that enhance data quality across the organisation.
* Working alongside support functions to provide expert guidance on best practices relating to data privacy, protection, and information security.
* Managing one direct report, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to foster their professional development within the team.
* Contributing actively to regular reviews of existing data policies and procedures, recommending updates or changes as required by evolving regulatory requirements.

Data Governance Manager - What will you need?

* Comprehensive understanding of data governance principles, including frameworks for ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Proven experience working with data quality management processes and tools within a complex organisational setting.
* Strong knowledge of data privacy legislation such as GDPR, along with practical experience implementing related controls.
* Familiarity with best practices in data protection and information security within large organisations.
* Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build positive relationships across diverse teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
