Wokingham: Regular travel to 4 different DC's in Corsham, Farnborough, Warwick and Reading

£550 - £650 per day

In short: We require a strong DC Engineer who is comfortable working alone, at times, in assessing the work of a supplier across 4 DC's. You'll be working closely with the supplier, highlighting any issues and planning any remediation activities along with providing hands on support.

You'll need CDCTP and CDCMP.

Responsibilities:

Assisting the manager to locate and audit existing inhouse and 3rd party processes
Reviewing existing software and CMDB capabilities and evolving correction action so said systems are maintained
Capturing access control methods, and physical security needs
Creating solid plans to assist in the migration of processes, procedures and supplier mechanisms from 3rd Party to client
Dependency and Risk Management
Stakeholder Management
e-Permit Management
CMDB management and updates, along with Network Discovery capability
Change Management
ServiceNow and E-Permits, approval, and creation
Incident Management
Capacity Management
Access Management
Providing Safety briefings
Everyone working in the DCs must be inducted or escorted by an approved, inducted person.

Accredited to one or both of the following certifications:
*CDCTP: Certified Data Centre Technician Professional
*CDCMP: Certified Data Centre Management Professional

Personal skills:
A self starter, results driven, highly motivated
Exceptional planning skills, and stakeholder management
A problem solver, and able to live in the grey to find outcomes
Strong people skills, good at listening, leading and ability to flex to hit early milestones
