DCM Project Manager/Business Analyst

A global investment bank is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join their Debt Capital Markets business in London City. This is a key role supporting the strategic EMEA banking portfolio and will have a direct impact in driving business growth

What you'll do:

As a hybrid Project Manager/Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of business initiatives and programmes. You will act as an advisor to leadership, providing strategic direction and expertise for implementing innovative business solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading team meetings or steering committees, managing relationships with cross-functional business partners, and collaborating with team leaders in developing project plans, policies, and procedures. Your ability to understand corporate and investment banking products and the lending lifecycle will be crucial in this role.

• Act as an execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives
• Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex challenges related to execution
• Provide vision, direction, and expertise for implementing innovative business solutions
• Prepare inputs and lead team meetings or steering committees
• Manage relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners
• Collaborate with team leaders in developing project plans, policies and procedures

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Project Manager role brings proven experience in project management within the financial sector. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively lead Working Groups, Executive Steer Committees etc., while your analytical abilities will allow you to perform gap analysis of existing processes, resources, and capabilities. You have experience defining project scope, establishing work breakdown structures, and liaising with various departments such as LOB, Finance, Treasury, and Operations to deliver end-to-end solutions. A solid understanding of corporate and investment banking products and the lending lifecycle is essential for success in this role.

• Proven experience as a Project Management/Business Analyst in debt capital markets products, bond issuance and settlement, and lending SDLCs is essential
• Experience implementing a sub participation process for loans
• Strong communication skills for leading Working Groups, Executive Steer Committees etc.
• Ability to perform gap analysis understanding existing process, resources and capabilities
• Experience in defining project scope and establishing work breakdown structure
• Experience liaising with LOB, Finance, Treasury and Operations to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Understanding of corporate and investment banking products and lending lifecycle
