Delivery Driver

Location : Normanton
Hourly Rate: £13.00
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 16:00
Overtime on weekends also available.

• You must have a Valid UK driving license.
• You must have valid ID documentation, Passport + Driving License.
• You must be able to pass a basic DBS check. Previous DBS checks are not valid.
• We will also require 5 FULL years referencing – Any gaps of more than 28 days must be accounted for

If the above ID’s listed cannot be provided, we can accept the following:
Birth certificate, Proof of national insurance, and proof of address - Names on supporting documentation must match and be an official document/letter.

Daily Duties:
You'll start your day for an hour or so collecting the sorted the mail for your route, before taking out your van to complete your round. You'll be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries and the round will take around four/five hours to complete. The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route, telling you which house to go to next.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Be an ambassador of the Brand; positively representing, maintaining a clean vehicle and being a courteous driver
• Safe loading and unloading of parcels on to a van
• Delivery of products, goods, and parcels safely and efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care
• Properly use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld scanner, to deliver up to 100 parcels per day

What you’ll need:

• A full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 points and not have been disqualified in the last five years
• Multi-drop experience (preferable)
• An enthusiasm and passion to deliver the best service at all times
• Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
