Deployment Technician

Our client, a leading multinational information technology services and consulting company is recruiting for a Deployment Technician to join their business in the United Kingdom.

Job Description :

• We are looking for a skilled and detail -oriented Deployment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, installation, and support of hardware and software systems, with a focus on warehouse/asset management, hardware configuration, and provisioning. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem -solving skills, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse/Asset Management:

• Manage inventory and asset tracking systems.

• Oversee warehouse operations and ensure accurate record -keeping.

Hardware Configuration, Distribution, and Provisioning:

• Configure and distribute hardware for end -users.

• Provision devices with iOS and Mac OS X.

Software Deployment:

• Install and configure software applications, operating systems, and updates.

• Ensure software licensing compliance and proper documentation.

System Configuration and Support:

• Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues.

• Provide technical support to end -users, including remote assistance and on -site support as needed.

Specific Software and Hardware Management:

• Utilize Omnitza for asset management and tracking.

• Administer Jamf for managing Apple devices.

• Deploy applications and manage device configurations using Jamf.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes, configurations, and system changes.

• Generate and submit deployment reports and logs.

Collaboration and Training:

• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to ensure smooth deployment processes.

• Provide training and guidance to end -users on new systems and applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in hardware installation and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.

• Experience with networking concepts and equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Familiarity with asset management tools like Omnitza.

• Experience in configuring and provisioning hardware.

• Proficiency with iOS, Mac OS X, and Jamf administration.

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and problem -solving abilities.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain technical concepts to non -technical users.

Organizational Skills:

• Strong time management and organizational abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
