Deputy Head of Service and Principal Therapy Lead OT

Hackney Council is recruiting a Deputy Head of Service and Principal Therapy Lead (Adults).
This is a senior interim role (3-6 months, with potential to extend) leading key therapy services across adult social care.

Rate: £400-£450 per day
Hybrid working available

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead operational delivery of Occupational Therapy, Sensory, Adaptations and Telecare services

• Ensure high-quality, person-centred support focused on independence and wellbeing

• Manage service budgets and support cost-effective use of adult social care resources

• Provide leadership that supports staff development and performance

• Collaborate with partners across health, care and the voluntary sector

• Contribute to strategic planning, inspections, and service improvement

Requirements:

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist

• Proven leadership in adult social care

• Strong operational and budget management experience

• Understanding of legislation, safeguarding, and best practice in OT

• Enhanced DBS (can be arranged)
