About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and inspirational leader to join a thriving and inclusive 11-18 secondary academy as Deputy Head of Sixth Form. This is a key leadership role within the Sixth Form, supporting the Head of Sixth Form in delivering outstanding academic outcomes and pastoral care. You will be part of a committed and forward-thinking team within the Enterprise Faculty, which includes Business Studies, Computer Science, and Economics. The faculty is well-resourced and supported by experienced leadership, with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Sixth Form.
• Lead on areas such as student progress tracking, attendance, enrichment, and post-18 destinations.
• Work closely with the Head of Sixth Form to maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Contribute to the development of the Sixth Form curriculum and enrichment programme.
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and external partners.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial teaching experience at Key Stage 5.
• A proven track record of leadership or middle leadership in a secondary or post-16 setting.
• Strong understanding of post-16 education, including UCAS, apprenticeships, and careers guidance.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
• A passion for raising aspirations and supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
