Location: 25 minutes from Derby City Centre
Start Date: September 2025
Daily Rate: £162.30 - £223.62 (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school, just 25 minutes from Derby city centre. We're seeking a passionate DT teacher to join their committed team from September 2025 on a full-time basis.

You'll be delivering Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, engaging students in both practical and theoretical elements of the subject. The department is well-resourced with modern equipment and encourages innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and creativity

• Supporting students of all abilities to make progress

• Contributing to the wider life of the school and department

• Maintaining high standards of classroom management and safeguarding

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4

• A passion for design, innovation, and making learning engaging

• Excellent subject knowledge and classroom presence

• A collaborative approach and positive attitude

• Supportive and dynamic leadership team

• Access to excellent teaching facilities and resources

• Strong focus on CPD and career development

• Welcoming staff culture and motivated students

• Easily commutable from Derby and surrounding areas
