Design Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Design Manager to lead the production of accurate, practical working drawings to support design, manufacture, and installation across a variety of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed drawings from project briefs, quotations, and site meetings
• Manage a small team of CAD technicians
• Attend site for surveys, coordination, and professional team meetings
• Liaise with contractors, architects, and clients to resolve design challenges
• Ensure designs align with budgets, timelines, and manufacturing capabilities
• Support project delivery in compliance with CDM and internal procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Design Manager role within joinery or interior fit-out
• Proficient in Auto CAD, iX, Inventor, or Solid Works
• Strong understanding of traditional and modern methods
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented
