The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Design Technology / Art Teacher to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will:

• Teach Design Technology and Art across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
• Support students in developing skills in resistant materials, graphics, textiles, and fine art.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and modern technology to enhance learning.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and creative projects.

Design Technology / Art Teacher (Maternity Cover - September)

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant degree in Design Technology, Art, or a related field.
• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching both Design Technology and Art at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
• A passion for creativity and innovation in education.
