Designated Safeguarding Lead

• Annual Salary: £32,500
• Location: Southeast London
• Job Type: Fixed-term contract until 25/07/2025

We are urgently seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead for our client with an immediate start. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff. The position is on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role in the following academic year for the right candidate.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee the safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Ensure all staff are trained in safeguarding and are aware of their responsibilities.
• Act as the first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns.
• Work closely with local authorities and other agencies as needed.
• Maintain confidential records of safeguarding issues and actions taken.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a safeguarding role within an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of current safeguarding legislation and guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
