Role Overview:
Our client is undertaking a significant Windows 11 migration project and is looking for 2 experienced Desktop Engineers to support deployments across multiple UK office locations across a 12-month contract. This role will involve installs, de-installs, and basic desktop support, with the occasional requirement to assist with office clearances or IT relocations. Additional duties may occasionally include office clearances and general IT hardware support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and de-installation of desktop and laptop hardware.
• Support and execution of Windows 11 upgrade and deployment processes.
• Collection and return of IT equipment to/from Midlands-based depots.
• Occasional assistance with office moves and IT equipment clearance.
• Ensure documentation and asset tracking are accurately maintained.
• Liaise with on-site teams and project managers to deliver seamless support.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in desktop engineering roles, including OS migrations (ideally Windows 10 to 11).
• Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and deployment best practices.
• BPSS clearance (or eligibility and willingness to undergo it).
• Full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle and willingness to travel UK wide as required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Location Requirement:

• This role is ideally suited to candidates based in the Midlands, as regular collection and return of equipment will be required at local depots.

Contract Details:

• 12 month contract
• UK wide travel - hotels to be provided where required
• Monday to Friday day work
• £163 per day including 100 miles travel per day
• Additional mileage paid at 30ppm
• Outside IR35
