Digital Content Officer

Digital Content Officer | Local Authority | London | £288+ per day | Hybrid (2 days/month on site)

We're currently supporting a London-based local authority in hiring a Digital Content Officer to join their dynamic Creative Team.

In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving digital content across the council's corporate website, intranet, and other platforms. You'll have a sharp eye for design and detail, excellent writing skills, and a strong understanding of user experience and analytics tools like Google Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate digital content on the council's external and internal websites.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of website and intranet content.
• Collaborate with Digital, Customer Experience, and Technology Transformation teams to drive a digital-first strategy.
• Project manage the implementation of new web and analytics platforms.
• Analyse performance using data insights to improve accessibility and user journeys.
• Create engaging content and champion consistent digital standards across departments.
• Deliver training and develop a 'writing for the web' programme for staff.

About the Role:

• Contract: 3-6 months (with potential to extend)
• Rate: From £288 per day (negotiable depending on experience)
• Location: SE1, Hybrid (2 office days per month)

Essential Experience:

• Strong content management and web publishing experience.
• Proven track record in a large, customer-focused organisation.
• Skilled in Google Analytics, BI tools, and content strategy development.
• Confident in stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
