Director of Marketing & Business Development

I am currently recruiting for a Director of Marketing & Business Development on behalf of a international law firm. This is a 12-month maternity cover position based in London, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Marketing & Business Development team to support the firm's strategy and plans.
• Develop and execute marketing and business development activity plans aligned with the firm's vision and values.
• Manage client and referrer firm development efforts, including relationship management and reporting.
• Oversee marketing and BD support for pitches and proposals, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Lead the firm's integrated communications strategy, including digital marketing and social media.
• Manage the firm's CRM system and client listening programmes.
• Coordinate press and PR activities, including crisis PR.
• Represent Marketing & BD at partner level meetings and provide expert advice.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in building and leading a Marketing & BD function.
• Strong team management and development skills.
• Broad experience in marketing and business development programmes, ideally in professional services.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple competing demands.
• Strong interpersonal skills and credibility at partnership level.
