Dispatch Operative

A growing business is seeking reliable and hardworking Dispatch Operatives to join a team within a clean and modern production facility. Along with a salary of £12.57 per hour for day shifts & £13.75 per hour for night shifts, you will receive a range of benefits including:

• Performance incentives: Consistent over-performance against targets can increase the basic pay rate to £14.30 per hour (days) and £15.48 per hour (nights).

Working hours:

• Day shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 (42.5 hours per week)
• Night shift: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00–07:00 (42.5 hours per week)
• Training requirement: All new starters must complete up to 2 weeks on the day shift before moving onto fixed nights.

What you’ll be doing as Dispatch Operative:
This role is vital in preparing large timber products for dispatch, ensuring accuracy, and meeting customer requirements. Responsibilities:

• Pack and prepare large timber products ready for customer dispatch.
• Carry out heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
• Check part numbers and dispatch loads with close attention to detail.
• Ensure the correct products are sent to the correct destinations.
• Work to individual and team performance targets.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment at all times.

We’re looking for a Dispatch Operative with:

• Previous experience in dispatch, warehouse, or manufacturing (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail when handling part numbers and customer orders.
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to targets.
• Willingness to complete training on day shifts before moving to fixed nights (if applicable).
