We're currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to support a high-demand caseload within a local authority or housing organisation. This is a site-based contract role offering £350-£400 per day (umbrella), with the opportunity to make a major impact in resolving critical housing disrepair issues.

• Manage a large disrepair caseload (1000+ cases in total), progressing each one individually to resolution.

• Conduct site inspections, identifying and reporting on issues such as damp and mould, structural faults, and other property-related disrepair.

• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for action.

• Attend court hearings where required (rare but possible).

• Ensure compliance with HHSRS and/or CIH standards and housing legislation.

• Liaise with legal teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve cases efficiently.

• Proven experience in disrepair surveying, ideally within social housing or local authority environments.

• Strong knowledge of damp & mould diagnosis, HHSRS, and housing compliance.

• Hold a relevant qualification or membership (e.g. HHSRS certified, CIH, or equivalent).

• Able to attend court if necessary and confidently represent technical findings.

• Basic DBS check required (can be processed prior to start).

• Full UK driving licence - mileage is claimable.
