Disrepair Surveyor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join a busy Housing Services team, specialising in managing disrepair cases and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant repairs across a diverse housing portfolio.

The Role:
The Disrepair Surveyor will be responsible for progressing disrepair claims through to completion, from initial inspection to final sign-off. This includes carrying out detailed surveys, preparing technical specifications for repairs, managing contractors, and overseeing the quality and value of completed works. This role is vital to reducing risk, protecting housing assets, and ensuring that repairs are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
? Carry out detailed inspections of properties to diagnose complex repairs.
? Produce clear, accurate specifications for remedial works.
? Ensure works are completed to a high standard, within budget and on time.
? Monitor contractor performance and manage relationships effectively.
? Work collaboratively with colleagues across housing services, legal, and finance.
? Provide professional advice on all disrepair-related matters, including Section 11 and EPA claims.

About You:
? Qualified to degree level in Building Surveying or equivalent through experience.
? Experienced in diagnosing complex property repairs and producing detailed specifications.
? Skilled in contractor management and quality control.
? Confident working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
? Strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
