Drainage Engineer

Attention all Drainage Engineers!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled, senior level Drainage Engineer to join a leading engineering and construction company, in a contract position. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis, attending our client’s office 3 days a week, in Hertfordshire.

This is a great opportunity to work on a range of projects with an experienced and motivating team.

-Hourly rate from £42-46 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design drainage systems using specialist software (e.g., MicroDrainage, Civil 3D).

-Create and review drainage plans, calculations, and reports.

-Work closely with design teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

-Make sure all designs meet required standards and regulations.

-Support construction teams by answering technical queries and carrying out site visits.

-Help with project planning, risk assessment, and quality checks.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

-Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

-Proven experience in drainage design for infrastructure or construction projects.

-Must have experience in Surface Water/Foul Water/Highways.

-Strong knowledge of UK drainage design standards, including SuDS and DMRB/Building Regulations.

-Proficiency in relevant software such as MicroDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or InfoDrainage.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

-Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) is desirable.
