Driver Labourer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dependable and hard-working Driver Labourer to join a busy and well-organised Construction Services team. This role plays a vital part in supporting property maintenance and refurbishment operations through the safe and efficient transport of materials, equipment, and personnel.

Purpose of the Role

You will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service by performing a range of labouring and driving tasks. This includes transporting tools and materials, assisting tradespeople, maintaining cleanliness of sites and vehicles, and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, carrying out daily checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
  
  
• Collect and deliver equipment, tools, and materials between depots and work sites.
  
  
• Support trade operatives on-site with general labouring duties, including loading/unloading.
  
  
• Remove waste and spoil from properties or work sites in line with safe working practices.
  
  
• Clear and prepare properties following tenancy changes, ensuring keys are returned promptly.
  
  
• Skills and Experience

• Full UK driving licence (Category B, up to 3.5 tonnes).
  
  
• Experience in a labouring, driving or maintenance support role is desirable.
  
  
• Basic understanding of vehicle checks and manual handling techniques.
  
  
• Good communication and customer service skills.
  
  
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work well both independently and within a team.
  
  
• A proactive attitude towards health, safety, and equality in the workplace.
  
  
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying site conditions.
  
  
• Willingness to work outside standard hours if required (e.g., emergencies or out-of-hours cover).

• The pay range for the role is £16.00per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £13.64per hour, inclusive of holiday.
