DT Specialist - Huyton

A secondary school in Huyton, Liverpool is looking for a DT Specialist to join them after Easter.  The role is Monday to Friday, 09:00 until 15:30. The right candidate will need to be familar with woodwork, resistant materials, food and textiles. This is a roler teaching a mixture of KS3 and KS4 students with SEN in small groups. The right candidate must have knowledge of using woodwork equipment and feels comfortable supporting students when using. 

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs.

DT Teacher Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
• Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
• Provide a safe enviornment for students in the classroom and when using equipment
• using machines and tools in relation to woodwork and textiles.

DT Specalist Non-negotiables:

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with woodwork, resistent materials and food
• Good behaviour management
• passion for working with children
