EAL Teaching Assistant Arabic, Urdu or Punjabi

Full-Time EAL Teaching Assistant (Arabic/Urdu/Punjabi)

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester (BL3 area)
Start Date: September 2025
Position: 1:1 support / classroom assistant
Hours: Full-time, term-time (Mon-Fri, approx. 8:30?AM - 3:30?PM)
Employer: Tradewind Recruitment - Primary school via agency

Key Responsibilities

• Offer targeted language support (Arabic or Punjabi) to EAL pupils, helping them access the KS1/KS2 curriculum.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere for pupils with English as an additional language.
• Assist with small-group or 1:1 language intervention and monitor language progress.
• Support pupil involvement during lessons, break times, and school transitions as needed.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Fluent in Arabic, Urdu or Punjabi and strong English communication skills.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with young children, ideally in a school/EAL context.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Genuine passion for helping EAL learners thrive.
