Key responsibilities of an Early Career Teacher

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, following the national curriculum and school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
• Engage in professional development and mentoring, reflecting on practice to grow in confidence and effectiveness as a teacher.

What you need to succeed in this role?

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or completion of initial teacher training.
• Some classroom experience gained through teaching placements or school-based training.
• A flexible, creative approach to teaching and a willingness to try new strategies.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude towards working with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
• Strong curriculum knowledge, behaviour management and ability to engage pupils effectively.
