Description

• Manage the council's property portfolio, including operational, investment, and community assets.
• Undertake valuations for acquisition, disposal, leasing, and asset management purposes.
• Negotiate leases, licenses, and rent reviews, ensuring best value and legal compliance.
• Support regeneration and development projects, providing strategic property advice.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all property-related activities.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to align property use with service delivery goals.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a RICS-qualified surveyor with strong experience in estate and asset management, ideally within the public sector. They will be a confident communicator, skilled in negotiation, valuation, and lease management, and capable of delivering strategic property advice that supports community and service objectives.
