Electrical Design Engineer

Attention all Electrical Design Engineers!

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading design consultancy, in a contract position. You will be required to work in a hybrid position (1-2 days a week) from one of our client’s offices (Leicester, London or Birmingham). This is a great opportunity to work on a range of projects from student accommodation to residential, with an experienced and motivating team.

-Hourly rate from £39-£42 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

-Designing electrical systems to meet project needs and standards.

-Create technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for systems.

-Work alongside other engineers to integrate systems with building designs.

-Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet deadlines.

-Ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability standards.

-Help prepare project cost estimates, schedules, and resources.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

-A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

-Experience in electrical design.

-Strong knowledge of electrical systems (lighting, power, distribution).

-Extensive experience with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-Familiarity with relevant building regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.

Desirable:

-Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET or similar) preferred.
