Electrician

Self-Employed - based in Hampshire or Dorset.

£20-£24 per hour based

Reed Recruitment are seeking Self-Employed Electricians to support the growth of our client's electrical department working alongside their Electrical Contracts Manager. You will be responsible in supporting the delivery of electrical contracts to local authorities and housing associations throughout Hampshire & Dorset.

Your responsibilities will include: -

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. 
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
•  Adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently.
• Contributing your skills to projects of varying scopes.

The person

• Proven experience as an Electrician.
• 18th Edition & valid ECS/JIB card
• 3+ years of experience in electrical installation and fault-finding
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working within a structured job management system (job numbers, completion paperwork, etc.)
• Full UK driving license
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Submit to a Basic DBS check

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

• 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)
• IPAF / PASMA
• UKATA Asbestos Awareness
• Emergency First Aid at Work
• SSSTS
• Relevant electrical certifications and qualifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
