Job Vacancy: English and Drama Cover Teacher

Location: L25 (South Liverpool)
Position: English and Drama Cover Teacher

Salary: To scale

Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and experienced English and Drama Cover Teacher to teach at a well-established secondary school and sixth form in L25, South Liverpool. This role is full-time and the successful candidate will be required to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality English and Drama Cover Teacher lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring full engagement and student progress.
• Managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Tracking and reporting on student progress and providing feedback to both students and parents.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in English, Drama or a related subject.
• Previous experience teaching English and Drama in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong knowledge of the art curriculum and examination requirements (e.g., GCSE and BTEC).
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference.
• Have a child workforce enhanced DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure.
