English Graduate Teaching Assistant

Exciting opportunity for English Graduates based in or around Finchley!

Tradewind are currently recruiting for English Graduates or someone with a keen interest in English, to work as a dedicated Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in Finchley on a full-time basis.

The secondary school is looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to inspire young learners by providing and supporting high quality teaching and enjoyable lessons. You will have a desire for working with young people and be looking to make a real difference.

This would be a full-time role and would be perfect for somebody that is looking to be an English Teacher in future, or wants to gain more experience working with children.

This role would involve:
* Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, up to Key Stage 4
* Organising and collecting resources for the lessons
* Deliver interventions, including those that are based around GCSE English
* Using enthusiasm to encourage children to become involved in lessons
* Supporting children with special educational needs

This successful candidate will:

* Hold a degree or qualification in relation to English (Literature, Language, TEFL, Creative Writing, Marketing etc)
* Have experience working with children (from volunteering, youth-work, tutoring, coaching, Teaching Assistant work etc)
* Ideally, have experience working with Special Educational Needs but this is not essential
