English Lecturer

• Contract Period: 1st September 2025 to 24th October 2025

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our team at the South East London. This temporary role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about English and education, ready to inspire students and contribute to the development of our department.

• Teach English to students of varying abilities, from Entry level to Level 2.
• Collaborate with the Curriculum Manager on the expansion and development of the English department.
• Deliver high-quality education and support students in achieving their career and life ambitions.
• Participate in marketing events to promote courses across the English curriculum area.
• Engage with students to foster a deep understanding of English literature and language.
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.

• Proven experience in teaching English and/or relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
• Qualified FE teacher or willingness to work towards this qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups in an engaging way.
• Efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
