English Lecturer (GCSE and Functional Skills)

• Salary: £25-£35p/h

We are seeking to appoint dedicated Lecturers to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English within our College provision. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and is primarily focused on supporting vocational learners aged 16-18, alongside a growing number of part-time adult learners.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to vocational learners and adult learners, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
• Play a crucial role in supporting learners' development, helping them progress to higher courses or enter the workplace.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share and implement best practices aimed at engaging and motivating resit learners.
• Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A degree in English or a related subject is preferable.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring English GCSE and/or Functional Skills.
• Strong ability to engage and enthuse learners aged 16 to 18 from various vocational backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• For part-time candidates, availability to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays is essential.
