English Specialist Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools - Tower Hamlets ??
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £100-£110 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with several supportive and ambitious secondary schools in Tower Hamlets, seeking a dedicated English Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their teams from September 2025.

• Support students in English lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Deliver focused literacy interventions to improve reading, writing, and comprehension skills

• Work alongside English teachers to plan engaging and inclusive activities

• Assist students with varying levels of ability, including EAL and SEND learners

• Encourage a love of reading and help boost confidence in English

• Degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject (or strong A-Level English and school-based experience)

• Experience supporting young people in an educational or tutoring setting

• Excellent communication and literacy skills

• A patient, creative, and enthusiastic approach to learning

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Tradewind)
