An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving and ambitious secondary academy in North West London.

The Role
The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The curriculum is creative, engaging, and based on the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners. You will be preparing students for GCSE exams and contributing to the department’s shared commitment to securing the highest outcomes.

The English department benefits from a digital planning platform to support workload balance and promotes close collaboration for assessment and monitoring. The school places high value on creativity, ambition, and strong academic progress, and students consistently achieve strong GCSE results.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
• High expectations and the ability to inspire and motivate students
• A clear understanding of what makes for effective teaching and learning
• Competence in using ICT to enhance planning and delivery
• Willingness to contribute to wider school life, including form tutoring
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
