Smart Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in the Middlesbrough area. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop critical thinking, confidence, and a lifelong love for reading and writing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned to the national curriculum
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
• Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives and enrichment activities

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4 in a UK secondary school
• Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
• Strong classroom and behaviour management strategies
• A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to continuous professional development
• A valid Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce), or willingness to apply
