English Teacher (Temporary)

• Contract: Full-time, Temporary (September '25 - March '26)
• Location: Bury
• Pay: Paid to scale £168 - £232 per day

Are you a passionate English literature and language teacher? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Bury, on a full-time, temporary basis. This role will run from September 2025 through to March 2026, covering a key period in the academic year.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver engaging and creative English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages discussion, creativity and confidence.
• Support students of all abilities to achieve their best academic potential.
• Track and assess student progress, providing constructive and support.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher consultations as required.
• Uphold the school's policies on safeguarding, behaviour and academic standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Degree in English or related subject
• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
• Strong classroom management skills
• Passion for education and student development
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
