The Role

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 available depending on experience)
• Inspire a love for literature, language, and communication in a diverse student body
• Use a range of teaching strategies to support all learners, including those with additional needs
• Mark and assess work in line with school policies and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to departmental development and extracurricular activities (e.g., reading clubs, debate teams)

Person Specification / Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Be confident in delivering the English curriculum to a high standard
• Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
• Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment (where applicable)
