Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons in line with the GCSE curriculum
• Using creative and effective teaching strategies to support progress for all learners
• Working closely with departmental and trust leadership to share best practice
• Tracking and assessing student progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary
• Contributing to the wider life of the English department and school community

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS and experience teaching English to Key Stage 4
• A strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential
• A collaborative, team-focused approach to teaching
