English Teacher

We are seeking a qualified English Teachers to join a secondary school in Cumbria to join them on a long term cover positions. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people in English Language and Literature across a variety of classrooms.

This role is to start in October 2025.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging English lessons at KS3-KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Supporting students in developing strong literacy skills
• Maintaining positive behaviour and classroom standards

Ideal candidate:

• QTS or significant English teaching experience
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language & Literature
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Adaptable, reliable, and passionate about student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
