English Teacher Job - Leicester

• Teaching English at KS3 & KS4
• Leicester-based secondary school

Hays Education is in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school that are looking for a qualified English Teacher. This job will consist of you teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This job will also require you to have full planning and marking responsibilities.

Job Description:

• Delivering engaging and creative English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Supporting, advising, guiding and supervising students throughout the school day.
• Supporting English classes in the absence of a timetabled staff/teacher.
• Delivering the cover work established in the absence of the teacher.
• To have a primary focus on maintaining good order and ensuring students are on task so that learning can take place.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Bachelor's degree in English or related field.
• Recent experience teaching English at secondary school level.
• Strong behaviour/classroom management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
