Enterprise Risk Management - Regulatory Risk

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Regulatory Risk contractor to join a high-profile Enterprise Risk Managementa. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering critical regulatory initiatives with senior stakeholder exposure.The RoleYou will lead and support the delivery of multiple complex regulatory change projects across Enterprise Risk Management. Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will drive initiatives aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.Key programmes include:

• DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)
• Basel 3.1 / FRTB
• Operational Resilience
• Broader initiatives across regulatory compliance, business management, and ESG risk

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution, tracking delivery against milestones and managing dependencies
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, artefacts, and governance documentation (RAIDs, RACI, etc.)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret regulatory requirements (e.g. PRA / European guidance) and translate into actionable delivery plans
• Identify risks, issues and blockers; drive resolution and escalation where required
• Facilitate working groups and steering committees, ensuring alignment and progress
• Produce high-quality senior management materials (SteerCo, ExCo updates)
• Conduct risk assessments and support remediation initiatives
• Partner effectively across Risk, Finance, Treasury, Compliance and business functions
• Support broader ERM and regulatory compliance initiatives as required

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience delivering regulatory or risk-related projects within financial services
• Strong understanding of banking risk frameworks and regulatory landscape (UK / Europe preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and delivery focus
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability

Experience & SkillsRequired:

• ~5+ years' experience in risk management / regulatory project delivery
• Degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline

Preferred:

• Exposure to DORA, Basel/FRTB, Operational Resilience, or ESG Risk
• Strong technical skills across Excel (incl. VBA), PowerPoint, and collaboration tools
