Environmental Health Services Manager

Location: Hertfordshire

Hybrid: Yes - split TBC

Hours: 37hrs per week

Pay: £40.00 - £45.00ph paid weekly via umbrella - inside IR35

Duration: 12 week contract initially - will be extended if everything goes well

Duties

Oversee and direct the operations of an environmental health department, ensuring public health and safety are protected through the enforcement of regulations and the implementation of policies. This role involves managing a team of environmental health professionals, developing and implementing strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Person Specification

• Diploma in Environmental Health or approved Degree in Environmental Heath and Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent
• To be a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner
• Substantial experience in one or more specialisms in Environmental Health
• Substantial experience of leading services at a managerial level
• High level of knowledge and understanding of relevant service legislation and good practice.
