Estates Maintenance Manager -Voids

Your new role
My client is looking for a District Estates Maintenance Manager to work within their Housing Operations and Voids Services team.

You will be delivering several projects within the area that include, but are not limited to; managing contractors carrying out void repair works and overseeing making safe regeneration properties.

You will manage the work of the maintenance team operations, including staff, contractors, suppliers and back office administrative activities, within council policies and procedures, to meet the aims and objectives of the business / service.
This includes working closely with the Housing Investment Team, Housing Management Team and Tenant Representatives to identify and deliver cost-effective solutions to maximise available resources in improving the condition of the Council's housing stock. You will promote and enable new areas of business and maintain qualitative standards within commercial work areas.

This position is based at Nursling Depot. Unit 5 Mauretania Road, Nursling SO16 0YS.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.15pm and 7.30am - 3.15pm on a Friday.
Transport: A car is required for this role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced maintenance manager who has experience managing social housing maintenance, ideally within a Voids environment but re-active repair experience is also relevant.

You will have experience managing both direct and sub-contract teams and ensuring work is carried out to a high standard.

£32.43 to £36.46 p/h Umbrella DOE
