A client within the Public Sector based in the East Midland is currently recruiting for an Estate Surveyor to join their Property Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an Estates and Property Management environment.
The Role Key purpose of the role is to support the professional management of a diverse corporate property portfolio, ensuring effective estate management, tenant liaison, and support towards the Council’s strategic goals including the Carbon Neutral 2030 target.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Managing estate management tasks such as rent reviews, lease negotiations, assignments, licences, wayleaves, and easements. • Conducting site visits to inspect properties, verify ownership, resolve boundary disputes and ensure lease compliance. • Maintaining and updating property records, business rates, and utility data, and contributing to valuation and estate reviews.
The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: • A relevant property or surveying qualification (e.g. RICS-accredited degree). • RICS membership or actively working towards accreditation. • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Experience in estate/property management in a local authority setting. • Strong negotiation and landlord/tenant liaison skills. • Familiarity with the RICS Code of Measuring Practice and public sector property compliance. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £315 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £250 per day PAYE).
